Lecanora rupicola – Thallus light grey, thick, smooth and cracked with black prothallus visible round the edge. Discs buff grey to pinkish, convex, with highly contorted white margin.( said to resemble Mastodons teeth , pers.comm.P.Wolseley). Discs may appear black when parasitised by Arthonia varians. K+ yellow. Very common on well lit acid rocks in supralittoral.
